Signs of a wet crawl space in Spring Hill
The first sign is often not water you can see. It is a closed bedroom that smells like the yard after rain. In Chapman's Retreat and Harvest Point that smell tracks back to vents and soil, not a dirty filter.
What to check
- Musty air that is stronger near interior floors than at the windows
- Floors that bounce in a hallway
- Rust or dripping on ducts in the crawl
- Insulation on the dirt
- An inspector photo of bare soil or torn plastic
